Abstract
In the context of provincial restructuring, Dong Nai Province is implementing several key transport projects, making it essential to improve the investment efficiency of road infrastructure development. This study examines the current status of investment efficiency in road transport construction projects and identifies the main factors affecting project performance in Dong Nai. Five groups of determinants are analysed, including natural conditions, economic factors, political, cultural and social conditions, state management, and the capacity of implementing agencies. The findings indicate that the competence of project implementing agencies and local political and social conditions have the strongest impact on investment efficiency. These are followed by the effectiveness of state management and economic conditions. Based on these results, the study proposes a number of policy directions and practical recommendations to enhance the investment efficiency of road transport construction projects in Dong Nai Province in the coming years
