Aims and Scope

The Journal of Transportation Science and Technology (JTST) is an official peer-reviewed, open access publication of University of Transport Ho Chi Minh City. Established in 2011, JTST has been serving as a vital platform for disseminating cutting-edge research and practical innovations in transportation science and technology for over a decade. In 2021, the journal expanded its reach by launching an online version, significantly enhancing accessibility and visibility for researchers worldwide.

JTST aims to provide a rigorous yet accessible forum for researchers, engineers, practitioners, and policymakers to share original research findings, technological developments, and practical applications in transportation and related fields. The journal is committed to advancing knowledge through the publication of high-quality theoretical and applied research that addresses contemporary challenges in transportation systems and infrastructure.

The journal welcomes high-quality submissions across a broad spectrum of disciplines within transportation science and technology, including but not limited to:

Publication Frequency

The journal is published bimonthly (six issues per year), with issues appearing in January, March, May, July, September, and November.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo rigorous peer review by at least two independent reviewers using a double-blind review process to ensure objectivity and quality. Papers are initially screened by the Editorial Board to determine suitability for the journal's scope and format requirements before being sent for external review.

Authors can expect an initial decision within 6-8 weeks from submission. Additional review rounds, if required, typically take 3-4 weeks. Accepted papers are published online as soon as possible, typically in the next scheduled issue.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

JTST does not charge any article processing fees or submission fees. All costs associated with peer review, editing, and publication are covered by Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport.

Open Access Policy

JTST is fully committed to open access publishing. All articles are freely available to readers worldwide immediately upon publication. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full texts of articles without financial, legal, or technical barriers, in accordance with open access principles.

Authors retain copyright of their work while granting JTST first publication rights. All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license, allowing others to share and adapt the work for non-commercial purposes with appropriate attribution.

Digital Object Identifier (DOI)

JTST is a member of Crossref and assigns a DOI to every published article. The journal's DOI prefix is 10.55228, ensuring permanent identification and discoverability of all published research. All article references are checked and linked to their DOIs when available, facilitating citation tracking and research connectivity.
